Teaching Programme
Total teaching programme has been divided into five classes. The order is given but it is not specifically time bound. Vyakaran-Upadhyaya and Vyakaran Acharya have been broken down into three and two categories respectively. Students with good aptitude are permitted to study in more than one class at a time. There is, at present, no arrangement for study of Vedic doctrines stated below, but knowledge of these principles may be attained through self-study. In the Vachaspati class training in modern research and editing of books is imparted to the students.
Admission
- There are two types of students admitted to the Mahavidyalaya, day scholars who have their own arrangements for accommodation and those staying in Virajanand Ashram.
- Students of 16 years of age and above are admitted.
- Students must have basic qualification of matriculation, or equivalent, and above.
- Girl students can be admitted but they are not allowed to stay in the Ashram.
- Fair knowledge of Hindi is must.

Ordinarily students can be accommodated in the Ashram whenever there are vacancies.
- Facilities of electricity, water, residence etc. are free of cost o the students.
- Community programmes in the Ashram are performed by students according to needs.
- Simple food and clothing is a practice.
